Spoke with Peter and Alan this evening at 2100. It has been a very hard day because it has been extremely hot. This may sound strange as they are skiing on ice and snow but the temperature fluctuations have become dramatic and very unpredictable. Today at 1600 local time it was c30 degrees Celsius (85 Farenheit). Distance travelled c25 kilometres. During the day they have been able to recharge all equipment using the solar energy.
I reported on a talk I had given today to the Cine Kids Watershed (see blog loaded today) event in Bristol and how I had been able to use their images and videos as part of the presentation.
They are sending more photographs shortly.

Hi Pete and Alan
Saffi and River have been looking at the pictures you have sent back and are now drawing pictures and writing poetry about your expedition to send to BluePeter. They are hoping to win a badge each. We thought it would be great if lots of other children joined in. I’m sure BluePeter would love it.
sam.
Dad, a poem for you.
I miss my Dad, He’s gone away.
To where it snows, with his ski’s and sleigh.
Forty days is what it will take,
To cross Greenland, for adventures sake.
But has he forgotten about us at home?
NO. He rings us on his solar, sat. phone.
so Daddy if you hear my plea.
Forty days only, then back home to me.
luv Kane.(with a bit of Mums help)
To Daddy.
My Dads gone away. He’s gone to play.
I don’t know what he’ll think of this.
He will be walking and talking.
Not riding but sliding.
I’m missing out on my goodnight kiss.
Alan and Peter are in the snow.
Will they meet Father Christmas. Ho! Ho! Ho!
Lots of luv from Saffi.( Mum didn’t help me)
bonjour les garcons
