Shoots of Green – The Publication
At Feet of Green we believe in helping to raise the voice of pupils and students from schools and youth organisations. They will be inheriting the future and amongst them will be the scientists, leaders and educators of the future. By providing an editorial capability and publishing experience, the Feet of Green team will be editing and publishing the Shoots of Green book.
Shoots of Green is a publication to be developed based on contributions made by schools and pupils. It expresses views and shares initiatives related to sustainability and environmental awareness.
This book will be published post expedition and will express the views of the younger generation as the leaders of the future. This will complement the sharing of views and initiatives from current business leaders.
Those schools involved in Feet of Green projects will be invited to contribute a summary of their project aims, delivery and associated learning.
Any school or youth organisations in the UK will be able to submit responses to our online survey of attitudes towards environmental issues and a summary of the results will also be published in Shoots of Green.
The Shoots of Green book will be published in hard copy format and as an e-book.
The book cover will be the result of a competition run with schools for the best cover design.
